Verizon raised my long distance rate of .16 per minute to $5.46 per minute because of a late payment. Without any notification they raised the rate instead of disconnecting the service. I was late on a payment earlier and they disconnected my service. Verizon has no rules to follow and is very much a monopoly when it comes to long distance toll charges. Beware of Verizon.
