Verizon Inside Wire Maintenance - sick joke Englewood, New Jersey

My landline was so afflicted with static that calls were indecipherable. 


After many calls to customer "service" Verizon finally agreed to send out a technician, who told me that I needed a new phone, which I bought.  Needless to say, it didn't correct the problem.  Another month went by, another technician came and said I needed data filters on my lines.  I bought them, and again, there was no improvement.  Another month...


Now, it seems,after paying for inside wiring maintenance for at least 3 years, at a significant cost, it would be too much trouble, according to this technician, to check my inside wiring for problems, but "in his experience...it was always the burglar alarm." He recommended that I buy a new one. 


I am in the process of terminating my landline service and writing off nearly $300 in wire maintenance changes.
