Complaint Review: Verizon Local

Verizon Local Phone Company Charged me for replacing thier outside line and reported this to a collection agency Trenton New Jersey

I had an intermittent phone service problem with incoming calls being cut off. This problem persisted for about 2 months with numerous calls to Verizon service dept. and subsequent technician visits to my home.

The technicians never entered my home or checked replaced any of my internal wiring. The problem with the line was in their line only (external) and was resolved with the replacement of this external line (from the pole to the gray box). The next month's bill had a $91.00 service charge for the replacement of the wire. I called and e-mailed numerous times and was given a different story each time with a promise (made more like a threat) that a supervisor would call me back.

I gladly gave all my phone numbers to the people but never once got a call back. Now, I have a collection agency harassing me at home and I have to go through the legal channels to handle a charge that was never mine. I guess this means that they can charge you for anything they choose if they step foot on your property. Beware.
