Verizon Wireless consumer fraud ripoff Internet
Purchase a cellular phone from Verizon Wirless,January 12,03. Part of the come on to buy the phone was a $100.00 rebate that would be mailed within 10-12 weeks.
I never received the rebate and have now called Verizon 5 times. There response or lies have changed with every call. They first stated that after the 12 week period that I was calling too soon.
The most recent explinations are that the check was sent and they would send another. According to verizon the 1st check was sent March 14th, the second April 29th. I have not received anything as far as a rebate goes. They wonder if it is the mail service?? Interesting I have no problem receiving my monthly phone bill from them.
As of today I asked for them to reissue the check and send it overnight mail. There response was quite original, "once we approve a check we must hold it for 30 days. I have never heard such ignorant liars.
I asked for the phone number for Verizon corporate headquarters. Guess what, they state they do not have one. More Lies!!

when customers call in asking about pricing on phones . I give them price of the phone they are looking into buying advise them of the rebate offer and as well as infrom them that the rebate is threw the manufactures, not verizon wireless and as well the rebate company is called Young Americans which is also seperate from verizon wireless, all the carries use this company . I also advise the customers before sending the rebates out in the mail make copys of the reciept and upc code and everything for your records and it usually take 6 - 8 weeks before you recive the rebat check some times up to 12 weeks as well as the ycan also go to verizon wireless . com and click on the rebate link and they can do a research on the rebate to see if the check has been sent out . verizon wireless does not send the rebates that the manufactors offer , its young american that sends them out . sorry to hear that yu are have ing problems wit hreciveing your rebat tho .
