I am a traveling nurse for a hospital.  I've used verizon for a very long time.  Today my phone service was cut off after I made my payment. I have 2 phones one for myself and the other for the family I'm taking care of.  I went to use my phone and a recording came on. I waited for it and verizon financial department came on. They refused my debit card, checkings and a credit card.  I drive 2 hours to Lancaster, Ohio made a payment and was told my phone was restored.  It wasnt restored!!!!The family I was taking care of tried calling me and couldnt get through!! The internet was turned off so I couldnt make my payment through the online bill pay of my bank! I was forced to go to the store and make a payment!! I was treated badly!!
My job was threatened cause of this! I showed a receipt where I paid my bill. Verizon knew I had a settlement coming Thursday!! Today is Tuesday!!  Now I'm faced with a lawsuit from the family who couldn't get hold of me and my employer who's wants to fire me cause of Verizon Cell Service!!

Verizon doesn't just turn off people's phones if they are current, or even a little late.  So I wonder how late you actually are/were.

What reason did Verizon "refuse" your debit card, a checking account, and a credit card?

Did that payment bring you current, or were you still behind.  If you were still behind, how far?
