Verizon Wireless Lied to me for the last time ripoff Elgin Illinois
After 6 long years of putting up Verizon Wireless' deceptive business practices I finally had it. Before number portability I was pretty stuck with them, but not anymore. Throughout my years with them I came to know their apologies well.
I was lied to, over billed and probably spent no less than 100 hours fixing their mistakes and arguing with their staff. The last straw came last week. Last September 2006 I called them to find out when my current 2 year contract was up due to my wanting to change companies and be done with them. I was offered a bonus in the meantime to keep me as a client.
This bonus was told to me to be 1500 anytime minutes to be used whenever I wanted for the next year. I seldom went over my minutes and did not notice that I never received these minutes.
Having gone 6 months without any billing issues, and them being the carrier of the only indestructable phone (G'Zone), which is a necessity for me I made the wrong decision of sigining on for another two years. This was a big mistake. I received my phone and after returning it 3 times to find out there was nothing wrong with the phone but their software, I was back in business.
Then I received my first bill, I was billed over 400 for the phone (supposed to be free) and several hundered dollars for going over on my minutes. I called and was told that the phone would come off when they received the one's I returned and that they didn't have the bonus minutes on my plan, but would fix it immediately and put it on my account. The credit went on for the minutes so I assumed all was well. That was until I got my next bill, again several hundred dollars in overage minutes and the phone was still on there.
So again more hours wasted to find out I was not going to get the bonus minutes (lied to again?) that they were giving me 100 bonus minutes per month for a year and it was the same thing. I guess they take me for a moron, so I fought it and just told them that I just want out, I've spent too many hours over the last 6 hours dealing with their B/S and lies and misrepresentations and apologies. They refused to waive my early term. fee and weren't going to reverse the overages on the minutes, for all I know I'm still being billed for the phone.
IF YOU HAVE A BRAIN, DO NOT USE VERIZON WIRELESS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, THEY'LL SAY WHATEVER THEY CAN TO GET YOUR OFF THE PHONE AND I'VE BEEN BALDFACE LIED TO NO LESS THAN 4 TIMES SINCE I STARTED WITH THEM. THEY'RE THIEVES AND LIARS.
