Verizon Wireless Prepaid Plan/ Store ripped my son off on his prepaid plan, customer service admits the store lied but does nothing Waldorf, 20601 Maryland
Verizon wireless store ripped off my son on his prepaid plan, and customer service admits the store lied and did nothing about it. My son who is a teenager working as a waiter, went to the store to switch his prepaid amount from $60 to $45.
The store told him he had to switch plans to a $45 plan and pay an additional $45 fee to activate it. He asked if the $60 he had just put in on the prepaid plan a week ago would carry over to the new plan. The store falsely told him that 'yes the $60 he had paid previously a week ago would carry over'.
So he dished out an additional $45 to activate the $45 plan. He went home and checked and saw onl $45 in his account. He called Verizon customer service about his $60 who admitted that the store 'lied' to him-that is a direct quote and that the $65 would not carry over and that the store should not have told him that.
So he asked for his money back and all Verizon said they could do was to request a 'credit review in three days'....so a week past and they never contacted him back. He called and they said 'oh it was denied', they took no responsibility for the actions of the store and the terrible and erroneous information the store gave him causing him to lose his money.
I guess Verizon doesn't care about the customer service its stores provide nor does it care about the integrity of its company. $60 is a drop in the bucket to a multi-millionn dollar company, but you can believe $60 is a lot to a kid that has to work several days to make that money at an honest living serving food. So I am gong to be leaving Verizon myself, and once the $45 is used up my son will find another prepaid phone company to do service with. Verizon shame on you-you have no integrity and no honesty stealing people's money. Corporate america is nothing but greed.
