My boyfriend has had a contract with Verizon Wireless for two years now. In May, 2002 I took over the payments on the phone. I paid the bill down to a zero balance, however, when I received the next bill it was for $174.00. Not wanting to screw up my boyfriends credit I paid it down to zero again. The next bill I received was for over $100 again. I hardly ever use the phone, only 3-4 people have my number. The charges are totally unwarranted, they are for services that we do not use nor did we ask for.

I spoke with a representative who admitted that the account was being charged an extra $11.99 since the begining of the contract for unlimited weekends which were not requested by my boyfriend or needed for that matter. When I asked her what they were going to do about it she said she could take off the past three months; What about the past two years? It isn't just the $11.99 either. How do you pay a bill down to zero and get your bill next month for over $100 dollars on a plan that is supposed to be $29.99 plus $3.95 in insurance? The bill has never been for that amount!!

I am looking into suing Verizon for all of the money they have basically stolen from myself and my boyfriend. One more thing, this class action lawsuit against Verizon, why would anyone want to settle for $15-$30 in coupons towards a company that already ripped them off. It's like putting more money into the pockets of the company that you just sued. I don't understand the reasoning behing that consept. In the meantime, Verizon Wireless you will be hearing from my attorney!!!:)
