Verizon Wireless ripoff phone replacement plan is a scam, our phone is out of stock and they will send us whatever phone model they want Internet Illinois

My wife recently dropped her phone and damaged it. We have had the Lockline replacement plan since the beginning of our plan. We thought we'd be able to get a replacement for the phone.

Unfortunately, the phone she has is on backorder, with no information on when it will be available. So, you ask, what did they offer us? Whatever the Verizon warehouse picks for us.

Can I get a choice? No, that's not their policy.

I talked to customer service, then his manager Mary Jane, then her manager Mark. Mark told me that I had to accept whatever they offered me as a replacement. He offered no alternatives or help.

I wasn't asking for a better phone, an upgrade, or a free phone. I just wanted to be able to choose which phone we would be given as a comparable model.

Mark, the manager, was unapologetic and very unhelpful. If the wireless companies want to move forward and replace the landlines they MUST improve customer service.

Verizon or Lockline Rip-off?

I apologize that you are having a hard time getting your phone replaced. You mention that the phone was damaged and you filed an insurance claim with lockline. Please understand that Lockline is an actual insurance provider/company which is Continental Casualty Company (CNA). So with any insurance company you pay your monthly service fee and deductible. If they do not have you make and model phone available they will offer a comprable phone. No, they do not give you an option. Calling VZW customer service will do you no good as they have no control over lockline as to they carry their own policies. For example, you auto insurance company will try to get you the same vehicle or something about the same. If you have a buick, they wont replace it with mercedes. They dont give you a choice either. If you are wanting the same phone. then unfortunatly you will have to wait until it is available. I hope this helps in understanding. Also please read your insurance policy for your phone.
