In November of 2010 I was sold a two year agreement with a cell phone and broadband. Started having trouble with the phone two weeks after receiving it. The broadband tip was broken off by accident.

Purchased these items in Lake Station, Indiana, from an independent Verizon Representative, which at the time I did not know they were independent because they represented Verizon. I am a truck driver so my phone and broadband are very important to me to communicate with business and family.

I stopped in Fayettesville, Arkansas, to see about getting repairs or replacements. I was told that I would have to go to a corporate store. This is a bunch of bs because they all represent the name "Verizon".

When I got home I went to the local Verizon store which is a corporate store. I was told there that I was sold a used phone. And also my phone and broadband I would have to go back to Lake Station, Indiana, to be serviced.

I have had nothing but the run around with this company about it being independent or corporate store to fix my problem.

I purchased these items out of state from where I live. My belief is they should be handled regardless of them being an independent or corporate Verizon store. The Verizon name is on everything regardless if it was purchased at an independent store or a corporate store. And the contract is a Verizon contract not an independent contract so Verizon should correct the problems regardless.

They have the biggest scam running. So be aware of where you purchase your phone or equipment because when it comes time to repair or service your equipment it will be a problem.

So now I sit with no phone service or broadband to communicate with but still being charged for the services.
