Verizon Wireless Verizon Wireless ripoff when upgrading your phone Spokane, Washington
Verizon Wireless Ripoff! Beware of Verizon Wireless when they offer you something when upgrading your phone. On June 28th when upgrading my phone they offered me a "Free" device they said would be a wireless hot spot in addition to that capability on my existing phone. I said I didn't need one. At the end of upgrading process they brought out the device and again told me it was free and I could just have it. I took it. On July 15th, Verizon sent me notice of a change to my account with the addition of another number. I called and asked it be removed as I didn't have a clue whose number it was. Customer Service then informed me it was to the mobile hotspot devise they had given me. I again told them I didn't want the device or the service. A Customer Service Supervisor then told me it was too late to return it as 14 days had passed and it would cost me $175 to stop the service. The Verizon Wireless Store personnel purposefully scammed me into taking this device. They like their company which condones this behavior are dishonest and this was a ripoff. This sales scam is likely widespread so "Beware" of Verizon.
