Verizon Wirelss At Hedwig Village defective equipment and lying sales staff ripoff Houston Texas
I have had problems with Verizon Wireless Hedwig Village location for months. First it was a Treo not working. After being switched into four new treo's that would not register caller ID, with the store acting like it was my fault, I went to the Post Oak location. They were easy to deal with and immediately switched me to a Blackberry because of all the nationwide problems with Treo. They set up my Blackberry and everything was fine until it was stolen. I went back to the Hedwig store to get my insurance replacement because as a mother of three small kids, and it is 5 minutes from my home it was more convenient.
Boy was I wrong. It was difficult to get the new blackberry, and when I did it was defective. I was unable to get to the store for a week, but the manager knew of my problems including bluettooth problems, no voicemail and constant call drops. I went in at a predetermined time to the store for the "experts" to fix it.
Within twenty minutes they were putting me in another brand new blackberry (same incompetent employee both times, his superior being the man that could not get the Treo to work). I asked to speak to their manager so I could just cancel after months of headaches and incomptency. She would let me out of my contract with no penalty but no refund on the $300 Blackberry. The salesperson suggested I cancel, take the new blackberry and attempt to sell it to one of my friends--not interested.
I stayed in and he set up another blckberry for me. I left the store saying I hope I do not need to come back anytime soon. I get in my car and drive off, but I stop to check the features on the phone. It does not have any internet capability! I turn around and go back and they mess with it, saying maybe I need a new one, even though this one is two minutes old!
I ask for the manager number, or her bosses number to leave messages or talk to someone. By this time it has been 1 hour 45 minutes I have been dealing with this. They "the experts"all stay in the back messing with my brand new phone and tech support. I keep asking for suprevisors numbers and they will not give them to me. I call the 1-800 number form their phone and issue complaints.
At one point (it's been two hours now and the store is closed) I ask them not to go in the back again because I want to go home. They beg for some more time and I remain in my seat inside the locked store alone. I finally start making loud demands, and one guy comes back and hangs up on customer service that I have called again. He starts saying the manager will call me tommorrow.
I ask how since they have my phone. I ask for a specific time or contact number. He hands me the phone, I am still sitting in the same chair he asked me to sit in three hours ago, while his incompetent partner UNLOCKS the door to let a police officer in to escort me out! While horrifying, it has only made me even more determined to get out fully refunded, including my husbands account too.
Between American Express refunding the money this morning and launching a dispute, I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, State Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commision. Do not do business t=with the liars that are Verizon!
