Verizon Won't send refund due Newark New Jersey

On 10/1 one we cancelled our Verizon Internet Fios and went with Optimum. When I received my next bill I was charged for internet up to 10/25. When I called they said it would be refunded because they bill 1 month in advanced so I paid it. I have called every month since trying to get my $27.96 refund. I am told it takes 6-8 weeks. When I call again I'm told "Oh we just put it in today. You'll have it in 2 weeks". One month later I'm told "Oh you owe us $27.96". The next person says "I'll put it in today and you'll have it in 2 weeks".

It has now been 4 months and I still haven't received my refund. In one week the last 2 weeks will be up and so far I still haven't seen my refund. I was on the phone being transferred from department to department for over 45 minutes last week.

I will never do business with Verizon again. If I don't get my money soon I will also be cancelling my Verizon Wireless service.
