Verne Eide Ford Lincoln Mercury of Mitchell SD tried selling me a mini van that had been in a flood and the dealership tried very hard to hide it. Several parts of the interior had thick layers of rust, including exposed metal behind the glove box, the mountings for the third row seats and several parts underneath the driver and passenger compartments. The dealer placed multiple dryer sheets behind interior panels of the van to hide the smell. This is very dangerous because of the mold that could be growing in the vehicle could be very harmful when inhaled.

Heres the bad part.  Vern Eide Ford Lincoln Mercury swore to me over and over that I needed to trust them and the vehicle was a 9 out of 10 in near perfection. The salesman convinced me to trust his judgment so I drove 5.5 hours from MN to SD with two babies to purchase this vehicle only to find out its been in a flood. At first the dealer tried denying the fact that it had been in a flood by saying the person who traded it in was a pillar in the community and they had no problems. However, the evidence of large amounts of rust on the interior of the vehicle proved their story of near perfection into a complete lie. Also, the dealer stuffed every interior compartment and door panels with dryer sheets to hide the flood problem. I would not recommend buying any vehicles from Vern Eide because its apparent they cannot be trusted and will lie just to sell a car.
