Complaint Review: Vertical Search Works

Two different reps from Vertical Search Works approached us two different times.  The first time we decided no, the 2nd time we went with it.  It seemed harmless to try as it's a pay-as-you-go model.  It's a pay-per-click ad which appears on "food" websites.  They provide you with a portal to track where your clicks are coming from.  You have a daily budget that they are not supposed to exceed.  We set ours at $20 per day and every single day it was exceed by at least $20 extra.  We didnt' see any results from the clicks either - looking at Google Analytics our bounce rate was increased by 20%.  When I approached the sales manager, Raman, he said he would lower the bounce rate and fix the daily target.  The bounce rate went down by about 1% and we still saw no real leads come in from the ads.  The domains they were coming from were sketchy, too.  It seemed like someone was going in from all these strange websites, clicking our ad and immediately leaving our site.  I canclled the program and asked for a refund for all the days our daily target was exceeded.  3 months later I still haven't heard anything from them.  STAY AWAY from this company.
