Veterinary Specialists of Palm Beach Waited for paper work AND Credit card to clear while my kitten was losing Vital signs of LIFE before helping her! West Palm Beach Florida

My beloved month old kitten seemed to be losing strength and by the time I got to emergency room, barely resposive. "Stay with me grace"! I said as we drove touching her head. When I walked in a lady wearing scrubs took her back, with was good. Then I began filling out paperwork believing rescue had started. Dr came out and discussed options and I chose "Save her!" He went back, I thought to work on her. At front desk they asked 900$ up front. I emptied wallet- 320$ And handed it to her. Ok I said- "I'll drive home and get the rest! Be right back!"  "Well he won't do anything until it's paid". WHAT!!!?? I thought she was being helped all along!! She was CODING, DYING!!  WTF?!  My debit card wasnt in my wallet to my horror but i had a credit card and used that and THEN she called back to Dr. To start procedures!!!!   Grace died.  The Drs did much work on her after my credit went through.  I wonder if that crucial time would have saved her.  I'm horrified at the attitude of this hospital.  I received my bill reciept and my dead baby and drove home crying.
