Viatek Consumer Products Viatek refused to return my money when defective products were returned to them Internet

07/08/2009   I ordered a MK01G Mosquito Lure Trap, and I ordered  a MM30C Portable Mosquito Shield ... along with a 1 year warranty.


07/14/2009   I received both the Mosquito Lure Trap and the Portable Mosquito Shield on July 14, 2009


07/19/2009   I advised Viatek that neither product worked for me and I requested an authorization to return both of these products.


07/23/2009   Via e-mail, I received a reply from Naomi Vazquez, Custoner Service Viatek Consumer Products Group Inc.  The reply from her indicated that the products were probably defective and that a replacement would be sent - but would take up to 30 days.  That would put the arrival date at approximately August 23rd - at the end of the summer here in Black Hawk, Colorado.


08/03/2009   I returned the Mosquito Lure Trap and the Portable Mosquito Shield  and I requested that I wanted a refund of $119.93 credited to my Visa Credit Card.  (Attached was a Postal Service Receipt dated


 08/03/2009 for $13.01 shipping to Viatek)


 08/06/2009  These products were received at Viatek on 08/06/2009 and these the products were purchased from Viatek on 07/08/2009.


Mid August    I received a letter post dated August 31, 2009 from Naomi Vazquez, Customer Service - Viatek Consumer Products Group, Inc.  In her  letter she stated that per their policy, items need to be returned within 30 days for a refund.


08/05/2009    I sent a letter to Mr. Lou Lenttine, President - Viatek Consumer Products Group.  I requested his help in taking care of the return of of these two products and a refund.  I did not receive a reply from  Mr. Lenttine.


11/23/2009    I sent this same information listed above to BBB of Central Florida. I requested their help with Viatek to receive a refund of $119.93 -as the products were returned to Viatek within 30 days of 07/08/09.


01/05/2010    BBB of Central Florida sent me a letter stating "we are closing your complaint filed against Viatek due to it's failure to provide the BBB with a response.
