This girl is a welfare queen that knows how to use the law in her favor. 3 months rent and a trashed trailor, 5 months worth of garbage, dirty diapers, ruining brand new appliances, moldy food on the floors, walls, dirty dishes everywhere, she lived in my trailor for 6 months and everytime I went over for the rent the place was like this. She's moving out in 2 weeks and will be going to court for the $2000 she owes me. This was my first experience as a landlord, I really learned the hard way.

Ok, I can relate to the "welfare queen" comment.
My husband and I work hard for a living to support our 4 children, the way it should be done. I could list ten people that I know personally that are on welfare in Maine and raking it in.
One woman I know has 2 brand new vehicles, a big screen tv, all the ATV's anyone could ever want, a beautiful home with a beautiful view, drinks and smokes daily... I could go on and on. She gets about 500.00 per month in AFDC for 3 kids, God knows how much in food stamps, a medical card, plus 175.00 a week for child support. What's her secret?
The "Disabled" boyfriend that lives with her that she's not reporting to the state. It makes me sick to see what we have after working a full week (nothing!) and to see her tipping her bottle and having everything she could possibly want.
There is no reason these people can't work if we can. Get these losers off to work before I go broke supporting them! And there's no reason for anyone to live like a pig.

It is clear this landlord has not socially evolved. There are no welfare queens. When was the last time you tried to support your family on $200 a month. I can understand you are upset because your rent has not been paid and that there might be more than normal wear and tear for you to repair.
But there is not need to label others with your biased, uneducated,
classless words. In my work, I find that more landlords take advantage of welfare recipients than the other way around -- there's a check everyone can count on at the end of the month after all.
My suggestion, quit bitching and thank God you are not forced to rely on government benefits. Cut the tenant some slack on the rent -- you obviously have more now then she may ever have.

Amy, there is still no reason for someone to live like a pig and trash the place. Landlords have expenses and count on those funds for their income. You insinuating
the landlord has more than she is still no excuse for this type of behavior.
I will agree with you on one point. Many, but not all, landlords do take advantage of welfare recipients and tenants in general. This does not seem to be the case here.
Most, not all, but most of the individuals filing Rip-off Reports have been truly ripped off in one way or another. If you read the Rip-off Reports, you will find that most of the reports are sincere.
Do you think the Landlord is lying about the mess and the rent? If you feel so sorry for Victoria J. Nadeau, I'm sure we can locate her address so you may send her a check.
Give me a break.
