Victorias' secret. a secret credit card scam
January 3,2002 I made my first purchase at the Victoria Secret's store located in the Bloomington in shopping mall. I paid with my personal credit card. The cashier asked if I would like to be on their mailing list. They would send monthly coupons. I agreed. A few weeks later I recieved a bill from Victoria Secret"s angelcard with my balance transferred from my charge card onto their 22.8% angel card!!!! I called the customer service number and their home office and have e mailed them. I have recieved no reply. Can this be legal????

Angels Card?
#2UPDATE Employee
Mon, June 23, 2008
Are you sure you didn't sign up for the Angels Card? 'Monthly coupons' sounds like it could be the passbook of savings; a coupon book with a coupon every month. It would be very difficult to sign you up for a credit card without receiving the information from you- the employee would have to know your social security number, address, telephone number, DOB, as well as have your personal credit card to swipe as a reference. Sometimes, in an effort to get customers to sign up for this card, an employee may not make it clear that they are signing up for a credit card, rather than just a service to get coupons and that is unfortunate. If the balance from the purchase was on the card, it is likely that they used your purchase to activate your card. All of which should not have been done without your permission. I'm sorry this happened to you.
