Complaint Review: VIDEO TOWN SOUTHGATE

On 25 Dec 2008, I went to Video Town Southgate. I opened a new account and rented THE TUDORS. I then completed my shopping from there went home to watch the DVDs. Unfortunately they did not play on my DVD machine. The subtitles and sound was there and no picture on all three. I then took them back, but only found that it was closed - understandable that its a holiday.

The next day I went back and expained my situation to them. He then tested it on his side and found that it was working. He said since it is not their fault - and my DVD player there is nothing they can do. He called another lady to assist. I explained that I really dont want a refund, just to take something else of the same value. She told me if she did that she would loose out on R30.00. I told her I paid for something and wont get the benefit of it, so as a customer I am entitled to receive a refund or replacement. I left the shop unsatisfied as a new cutomer. I was told to fix my player. I told her all my other DVDs play. I cant fix it for just 1 dvd that doesnt work. NEVER WILL I RETURN YOU CROOKS! I am so MAD at the lack of respect for a new customer. How can YOU honestly take a persons money who is not happy
