Complaint Review: Vinco Roofing and Construction

I signed a contract with Vinco Roofing and Construction on December 26, 2011 to do a complete re-roof and haul away.  I gave him a $4000 deposit on December 28, 2011. The shingles and bin were delivered on January 11th with that being the start date to begin tear off.  He (Vincent Cooper) stopped answering his phone for 3 days.  He finally called and gave another start date then didn't show and stopped answering again...this happened 4 times!. In the meantime, I have shingles on my roof and a bin in my driveway for a month!! I contacted the building and permit department only to find out that he never applied for a permit to re-roof THEN I find out he is not even licensed.  I sent him a certified letter requesting a return of all monies less money paid for the materials (I obtained copies all his reciepts) which would be a return of $1500.  He refused all phone calls from January 31 until texting me today, February 21, 2012 to say give him $2500 worth of material and he would return it (yeah right...and never see him again) then he would return the $4000 deposit.  He ended the conversation by saying sue him.  Never do business with him...you will be sorry.
