James Emmot, owner of Vintage Square2 LLC gave us a bid to renovate our 31foot 1976 Air Stream trailer. (bid total $34K) We accepted his bid and he took our trailer from our home and we paid him $10,000 in cash on Feb 10, 2017.  The next week we gave him another $6500.  He told us our trailer would be completed in about 3-4 months.  Then in May he sent us an email with pictures showing our trailer gutted on the inside and said it needed a new frame, as the old one was completely comprimised with rust.  We went to his location on Hwy 46 in Boerne where his shop was, and saw the trailer.  He told us he would need more money (additional $3K for frame)we gave him another $11,735.25 which would have brought our project to near completion. Then late that summer (maybe August) he told us his sister had been murdered (in another state) and he was unable to do any work, and due to this occurrance it consumed his time and mental capacity.  He continued to put us off month after month with another sad story (his brother was then in an accident, due to the sister's death).

By October we sent him emails stating our fustration with his Company's ablitiy to finish our job.  He reassured us the work was being done and we would hear from him with pictures and to please just be patient.  By January, he informed us that they were moving into a new shop. However he would not give us the address and ignored our calls and emails.  He stated that an accident at the present location had occurred and knocked out the electricity and that's what prompted the move. In March of 2018 we were informed that he was doing the same thing to several others and their trailers.  They had become so upset and frustrated with him they were initiating a law suit.  We were seriously considering joining in.  Even met with the attorneys.  A week after the meeting, James Emmot texted and said our trailer would be ready in 2 weeks.  We were thrilled. We had a one on one meeting at the new location in April (121 Industrial Dr. Boerne, TX) and he showed us how the work was progressing and even apologized about how he had put us off so long.

He proceeded to tell us more hard luck personal stories as to why he did what he did. But reassured us the trailer would be done in 2 weeks time.  Our finish date was May 5th.   he sent us updates for about a week with pictures, but then informed us that the shop had flooded and they were being 'shut down' with black mold problems, thus no trailer completion on May 5th. Again he went silent.  He sent emails saying all work was suspended and no one could get their trailers.  He again moved everthing out of the shop, and refused to inform us of the whereabouts of our trailer only saying he was waiting on insurance adjusters to come and he was making claims.

It is now Aug 1 2018 and he refused to tell us where the trailers have been moved, give us any insurance company names, only stating his landlord was being sued by him. He now has had our trailer and money for 17mos.  We now know of at least 6 others that he has done the same thing to and refuses to give location of their trailers.  He was actually evicted from two of the locations due to non payment of rents, we found out.  He is a con man, rip off artist and crook.  We are in a lawsuit to reclaim our property and money from him.
