The sign out front says "we will change your tires in less than an hour" ...

On Tuesday eveniong I went to the desk to inquire about buying and having four snow tires installed on my car. I was told since it was almost quarter of six and they would close at seven it was too late, to install tires on my car.

I was told that I would have to have it done tomorrow. I said I work and was told there was a 10 a.m. appointment open and then assured that my car would be ready to go with new tires by 11 o'clock so I coun=ld get to work before 11:40. The clerk ordered the tires and set up the appointment then, so ensure it would go quickly... or so he said.

I arrived by 10 a.m., to find the same clerk and gave him the key to my car. The place was not busy, the help were chatting together. His wife and child arrived after me and received everyones attention. I was again assured my car would be ready in an hour and sent to wait in a waiting room near the front of the store. I lost track of time and at 11:25 ran to the counter for the keys to my car and found them still standing about chatting. I was then informed they had not even put it on the lift yet! They had promised me and I had made an appointment the day before... He said we can start it now... and that that was the best that they could do.

I said I was going to be late for work and needed my car, now. He said they would drive it around to the front. I dashed out to the front. no car. I returned inside and was told it was there now. I went back out front to find it locked and I did not have the keys, they still did. I had to go back inside and he said, just calm down. the key is in the car. I hope not since the car is locked. He finally went and retreived my keys. It was now 11:53.

False advertising, rude, indifferent service. They knew I had to be at work. I even had an appointment. They seemed amused at my plight and just there to have fun. I was treated so badly. No apoloygy, no offer to make things right beyond them starting the work and my waiting an additional hour for the work I had already waited over an hour and a half for. They have a cushy job, playing with their children during work, instead of doing the work promised.

Why should they care. I am the one who was late for work, even later after they wasted time playing games with my keys. I am the one who lost an hour of pay. when my son and I cannot afford supper next week, we will remember them and how that was "the best we can do". I am the one who looked bad arriving late for work. And as I skidded and slid trying to get into the parking lot at work, I was the one at risk still driving a car without snow tires.

It seems to me that they should not be able to get away with this, but what can I do except warn others about what they did.

They should at least change their sign to corectly read: " we will change your tires in two and a half hours or more".

Lisette,
I am deeply concerned with the service you received on the 6th of December. It is our practice to work late to install tires.

I assure you changes have been made and the persons you speak of are no longer with the company.

I usually work until 5 and I am off Wednesdays, I am sorry I was not there to correct this issue for you.

This is not the kind of service you deserve and I intend to make this up to you if you give me a chance.

Please call or come in, ask for the manager.
