I was listening to the radio in my car when I heard a number to call to receive a free $300 gas card that would be used to track my consumer loyalty to gas companies. I called the number (shown above which was fro VIP Rewards) and spoke to an individual who said he was recording the phone call. I gave him my credit card information for a 1 time shipping fee in order to receive brochures and information as well as the gas card. He then stated he would need to read all of the disclosure agreements and if the call ended before I agreed to them all he would need to read them all a second time. I hung up during the reading of the disclosure agreements and still received a hold on my credit card a week later. As I did not agree to ANYTHING, they have illegally taken money from my account. It sickens me to think that some b*****d is getting rich ripping people off and it is impossible to do anything about it. I would love to file a class action because I know others had to have been screwed by this as well. I can't imagine what could have happened had I agreed to all the disclosures as well.
