Visited and toured time share in williamsburg, va in 2008. Was promised a certificate good for a 2 night stay in a hotel. Had to send $75 to use this certificate. the $75 would be refunded when I used the 2 night stay cert. They make you send a paper of 1st and 2nd choice of places you want to stay in advance of going.Have done it 2 times and each time they say no rooms avail. Am tired of this game .It is just a way to steal peoples money. Also received gas voucher for traveling to Williamsburg. $100 worth. They only ended up honoring 2 of them.Someone should stop all these people.

Debra,

I looked up your voucher using the information in your complaint. I see you activated your voucher on 5/5/2008, this voucher is good for one year from the activation date. Travel would have to be completed by 5/5/2009. I also see that you sent in one request form for travel on 5/22/09 or 7/17/2009, both dates were after your expiration, which is not allowed and why your dates were rejected. I am sorry that it did not work out for you and that you were unable to travel sooner.

My letter from VIP

I have a letter from VIP "thank you for registering you World Class Retreat certificate with VIP Travel Reaservations.  This certificate entitles you alnd a guest for 3 days and 2 night of hotel accommodations at one of over 600 locations in the United States, $100.00 in a gasoline rebate card, and $30.00 Dinner certificate".

Obviously VIP does do gasoline and dinners, not just travel as they put in their rebuttal.

They need to be investigated.

I'd like to start by saying that we have no Deb in our files in Chesapeake, VA, not sure if this is a third party complaint, but best if we are made aware of it so we can try to help, which I would love to do, but again noone by that name is in my system.

Furthermore, the gas certificate you were given was from a different company, not VIP travel. I do appologize if it did not work for you, but you would need to contact your sponsor to find out who is responsible for that part of it as VIP is strictly a travel agency, having nothing to do with gasoline.

Thank you,

Kim with VIP Travel
