March 2012 my wife and I purchased VirginMobile's mifi to knock down the price of our home internet.  We have enjoyed it until we started college courses online.  The bandwidth is not great for watching lectures, however my ATT iPhone was able to.

We have purchased cable internet with SuddenLink and WHOA lighting speeds.  Today I called VirginMobile to cancel our mifi.  When I called their number and spoke with the automated guy, Alex, he did not give me a choice to "cancel" the plan.  So, I said operator many times and finally spoke to someone.  It was the incorrect department, so he sent me to the mifi department.  A young lady answered and I told her that I wished to cancel my plan.  She said that was another department, she placed me on hold for several mins and came back saying she can assist me and placed me on hold again.  Then she came back saying it was disconnected.  I then asked for my prorated amount back.  She explained that after deactivation her company can not give refunds.  I then explained to her that VirginMobile was paid $50 yesterday, 9-10-12, and I am calling today, 9-11-12, to cancel and get my money back.  She explained that once my device is inactive, I cannot get a refund.  I asked for a supervisor.

Moises, Employee number 12020, came on and I explained to him that I paid them yesterday and today I am canceling and wanted a refund.  He said that I should have asked for a refund before deactivating my device.  This does not make since to me, don't you need to shut off service to get your money back?  He explained that once a device is deactivated, they cannot see what the usage was.  This is either false, or this company is flawed.  How in the world do they not know what the usage was?  It does not matter what the usage was anyhow, we had UNLIMITED data.  Also, I paid them $50 yesterday and they will not give me a dime back.  I asked him for his advisor and he said he was the only one I was able to speak too.  Well, i know this is not true, but seeing how it was after hours, I believe his supervisor was gone or corporate was gone as well.

So, here I am writing my complaint here, plus I will send one to the BBB and the Attorney General.
