Virginia Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning Chuck Weis and Donnie Hoover Plumbing Ripoff Harrisonburg, Virginia
We had contracted Virginia Plumbing & Heating to fix some clogged drains and backup sewage in our Keezletown home. The problems were ongoing...he even commented to our tenants before leaving, "this will happen again..." . After several attempts to correct the problems Chuck Weis said that the problem could be resolved if he replaced the underground septic pipe with a bigger one. He gave us a proposal to put in a new pipe from the house to the septic tank.
He called and told me the job was completed and he had inserted a trap right outside the basement door for easier access in the future. We discussed paying the final payment in December as initally agreed.
Before that date, the problem reoccurred. After talking with the tenants, we found out that he had never put in a new pipe. We called another company to redo work he 'supposedly' had done on previous jobs, to correct the problem.
We inspected the area and confirmed that there was no new pipe. We confronted Chuck and he started saying he never promised to replace it, and coming up with one excuse after another. We asked for a refund and at one point he texted me that he had been out of town but would return our money within three weeks. That timeframe came and went with no refund.
Since then, he has continued to tell us that we still owed money for previous work that would offset any refund. He never solved any issues at that house. His temporary 'fixes' always reoccurred and when we found out how dishonest he was, we were not about to pay him another dime.
We are now loosing our tenants due to their frustration of continual plumbing problems and since I have lost my job, we have been restricted in what we can do.
Our neighbors saw Chuck drive away with the new septic pipe and witnessed the ditch witch he rented, stay stationary without being used to dig up the septic pipe. After clipping a chunk out of our arbor's column, he realized the ditch witch would not fit under the arbor and never used it after that, but expected us to pay for it!
