In the Fall of 2014, the newly elected Board of Directors of the Vineyards Condominums in Silver Spring, MD contacted Viridian Energy to let them know that they should cancel their service to the common area street lights within the condo community. A prior request from the previous Board to cancel the Viridian contract and return it to Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE), which offered a much lower rate, had obviously never been processed, and this new Board discovered that the community was being billed at an exorbitantly high rate by Viridian.

We were advised that this cancellation would be processed immediately.

One month later, we discovered that the cancellation had not been processed. A written request for cancellation was processed and delivered.

Despite numerous calls, additional letters and emails, Viridian continues to bill this condominium community. We were told that the account errors would be resolved and any overpayments would be refunded.

From November 2014, through April 2015 - when the new Board first contacted Viridian w/the request to return our power contract back to BGE, our bills have totalled $20,528.69. Requests to receive this refund amount have - not surprisingly - been ignored by Viridian Power.
