Virtual Profit Academy is an online business opportunity.

They offer no real product, and is a pyramid "scam".

They offer "free entry" into their program in exchange for signing up for "free" offers from their vendors.

VPA's problem is that they have very poor accounting of this process.

When I as a member, brought on new people that completed these "free" offers from the included vendors, I was supposed to earn 50.00 for each member.

The problem is that Gary's team of people are incompetent, and lackluster.

They have no interest in making sure that people get paid, nor do they have an interest in actually providing any tangible product or service.

This is a classic case of "scam" on the internet.

Most times, you can give a company a break or the benefit of the doubt, but when they compound their problems by not paying proper commissions, and not returning inquires (both email and phone) then you have a real problem.

No upgrades or enhancements have been made to the website or the product since the company launced last year.

This company is definately worthy of being placed on the "rip off report"

Virtual Profit Academy DOES NOT Respond to their Customers Requests for Payment

#3Consumer Comment

Sat, June 07, 2008

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck right ?

Virtual Profit Academy simply ignores requests for payments PERIOD.
I have sent them numerous emails left phone messages and NADA.
I have commissions pending in my account and they simply do not respond, I have very big big suspicions about this company and I really believed in them, it is a real shock when something so great is trashed and a companies reputation ruined because they could not
return a simple email.

Your rhetoric is just a bunch of empty words Gary Danko. Action is what is required here. I will give you a week to rectify your ignorance
of my valid requests, and then I will be taking my business elsewhere.
You have a real chance to redeem yourself here Gary Danko and keep me as a valued member of your team if you can make this right.

My Virtual Profit Academy website is:
(((ROR redacted))) and my AlertPay account is:
(((ROR redacted)))

Please send me the $120.00 owing me in commissions immediately and I won't pursue this matter to the Online BBB complaints department
etc.

I will submit a rebuttal if Gary Danko lives up to his promises.

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, May 24, 2008

Let's just start from the top and answer each comment in order to keep this simple:

1. True...we do offer an income opportunity (affiliate program).

2. We do have a real product (service). We offer courses, telesiminars, webinars and live seminars that teach people various concepts and techniques about online and offline marketing. These concepts work and are based on over 25 years of successful business-building experience. Our basic "entry-level" service is called "Millionaire Basic Training". It sells for $99.95 for a 1-year membership... and it includes two 1-hour teleseminars each week as well as our Dynamics of Success Course which is over 6 hours of audio training on how to build a business which normally sells for $295. Most people can't understand how we are willing to give so much for only $99.95 per year.

3. We are definitely NOT a pyramid "scam". Obviously, the author of this complaint has little or no understanding of what one is...most people don't. First of all, we are not even a multi-level company...we simply sell our products and services to end consumers and we offer our affiliate program for those who wish to refer others who need our training. There is no "pyramid" involved. A pyramid "scam" is a company who either doesn't have a product or service to offer in which case it is just a money game...or a company who has you pay money...then refer a number of other people who pay money BEFORE you can get your product. That doesn't even come CLOSE to describing Virtual Profit Academy.

4. Our program is not "free". True...we did offer a rebate program on a temporary basis (which the author of this article participated in...and received...and cashed... his rebate check...which we can easily document to any who care to see it). The rebate was for $99.95 and was based on a point basis. A person could earn 10 points by taking advantage of several offers from our advertisers. Our terms specifically stated that ALL offers had to be confirmed with our advertisers prior to any rebate being issued. Sometimes a person didn't earn enough points and therefore had to be followed up with to get the missing points in before their check was issued. But all earned rebates were issued...some were issued even AFTER the 30-day time limit had expired...so in that case we were more than fair.

5. As far as having "very poor accounting of this process"...that is simply not true. To this day we can document every offer completed, every point earned, and every rebate check sent out right down to the penny...and are willing to show this information to anyone who cares to investigate.

6. The person who filed this complaint also gives the assumption that he was not paid his affiliate commissions by stating, "When I as a member, brought on new people that completed these "free" offers from the included vendors, I was supposed to earn 50.00 for each member." Yes...he was supposed to earn $50 for each referral...and he in fact DID! The following was copied and pasted from his account...which is still currently open:

Current Balance: $0.00
Total Deposits: $319.95
Total Withdrawals: $319.95

The current balance represents any commissions earned but not yet paid. As you can clearly see...the balance owed to him is $0.00.

Total Deposits represents any commissions and/or rebates earned in total since the time the account was opened. This person earned $319.95 during the short time he was actively referring people.

Total Withdrawals represents the amount paid out to him by Virtual Profit Academy. As you can see, he earned $319.95 and we paid him $319.95.

Again...all of this is fully documented and we can show cancelled checks that were deposited by this gentleman to prove this beyond any doubt to anyone who might wish to investigate the legitimacy of this rebuttal.

7. His comment that my team and I are "incompetent, and lackluster" is just that...a comment...and and unfounded opinion of someone who appears to be just trying to cause trouble for whatever reason. As far as his comment that we "have no interest in making sure that people get paid, nor do we have an interest in actually providing any tangible product or service"...again...just a false statement. We can PROVE otherwise with real bank documents...checks with HIS name on them...deposited into HIS bank account. Our teleseminars are delivered every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 9pm eastern time. If anyone cares to listen in for the sake of being satisfied that this actually occurrs...please contact us and we'll provide a temporary access code to you so you can see for yourself. The audio courses and training articles are instantly provided in our members area upon joining.

8. As far as his statement that "No upgrades or enhancements have been made to the website or the product since the company launced last year"...again...a complete lie from this person. Our website and product have gone through extensive upgrades and improvements just about every week since we opened our doors...again... easily PROVEABLE!

Even if we didn't change our website...what difference would that make as far as being a legitimate company goes? What if we had a website that everyone liked and it was working for us and we just didn't want to change it? What difference would that make? NONE! But we HAVE continually upgraded and enhanced things just about every week since our launch...where was this person?

I'm not sure why this person is upset with us or what this person is trying to accomplish by publishing slanderous remarks about our company.

We've tried to contact this person by telephone to find out what upset him but he only hangs up on us, refuses to take our calls, and refuses to return calls when we leave messages (basically what he has been accusing us of).

I wish I knew exactly WHY this person is compaining, when we have paid him everything...on time...with no problems what-so-ever. He was one of our more satisfied customers and all of a sudden he decided to turn on us like this with no explanation that makes any sense at all.

The only thing we know is what he wrote in his complaint above, but there is not one single speck of truth in anything in that report...so we can only guess at this point.

In closing I'll say that no matter how good you are...how good you try to be...or how far you are willing to bend to satisfy your customers....there are ALWAYS going to be a few who are not able to be satisfied.

I'm not angry with the gentleman who posted this complaint because I'm sure he is very upset about something in his life that caused him to go off on a tangent like this...but with all due respect...and in all honesty...everything we do is in writing and extremely well documented.

We're not here to hurt or "rip off" anyone and never have been. There is a lot to learn from our training materials for those who take the time to study and apply them to their business.
