Complaint Review: Virtual Staffing Service

This work-at-home scam promises that they are not a scam...should have been my first clue! For $30 - okay, make that $29.97! - they will take your application and find work-at-home secretarial positions.

However, once you've paid them their $29.97, you learn that you'll be posting ads on free classified ad sites, such as craigslist.org. The ads will look familiar, because they are the same ones that you saw originally!

This circular scheme of paying them money, posting ads, and luring others into doing the same is exactly that...a scheme!

Their refund policy sounds scary:

"We do not issue refunds due to the distribution control measures we take, along with the costs involved with setting up your account & application processing fees.

If a refund or chargeback occurs, it is legally considered a fraudulent refund and action will be persued on behalf of Virtual Staffing - Work at Home Services."

I did decide to pursue a refund from them, however, and to their credit, they refunded my money.

To anyone else who might think this sounds like a good job, please consider that when something sounds too good to be true - even a little bit! - it probably is!
