I purchased a computer from this company via a shopping channel in 04/05. It is now 07/05. I was promised that this company would hold my hand and take care of any problem I had for a full year from the date of purchase. They said their service was unsurpassed in the industry.

Well shortly after receiving my system I noticed that I really hadn't received much in the way of software. So, I called a number that was provided to me by Viscom. I was told by a person with a foreign accent that , "Oh no, we don't send out software with our computers." So I said to myself, "I guess software problems are covered by the one year warranty they offer."

Well, guess what?! Just recently I had a software problem. The error message I got said that I must re-install the program in order to resolve the problem. Silly me, I called tech support for help. They told me that in order to fix the problem, I must use the program disc they sent to me to re-install the program. When I explained that I had no program disc and that I had called specifically to question the fact that I hadn't received software, I was told, "Sorry sir, there is nothing we can do to help you. You can re-purchase the software from us to fix your problem."

Well obviously, that response did not sit well with me! I asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with Tom, badge number 131. Bless his heart, he is a company man who knows how to blurt our company policy and who could care less about my problem. He said that they had no record of me ever calling about my concern regarding software and because it was beyond 30 days of purchase there was nothing he could do to help me.

How convenient! When I explained to him that I had spoken with someone with a foreign accent, he said, "Well maybe you spoke with our hardware department." My response, "Tom! Is not you hardware department your company?" He said, "No they are contractors." Like I am suppose to know this!!! And not only that, Tom said that I had been provided a shipping list of the software that was included with my computer. Well, I was born at night, but not last night. If I had been provided such a list, why would I have called to ask about what software should have been included with my system?

My position is this, if they didn't include the software, why would they have included the packing list?! THIS COMPANY STINKS AND THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PROMISES! In the past I have purchased both Gateway and Dell computers and those companys stand behind their products way beyong Viscom. DO NOT BUY A VISCOM COMPUTER IF YOU EXPECT ANY KIND OF SUPPORT AFTER PURCHASE. BEWARE!
