VISIO Service Tech removes optical port, Customer Service denies claim to correct issue Nationwide

Original issue with the VISIO TV was the volume would turn itself down, known issue with VISIO TVs.  Contacted Customer service and the first technician arrived with a box of parts but indicated he did not think the part we needed was included.  He tied replacing the parts he received but the volume issue was not resolved.  We were unable to use the TV, no volumn, so we did not try to reconnect the surround sound.  Second tecnician was sent out with the correct part but he did not re-connect the surround sound to verify everything was in working order.  When we tried to connect it later, we discovered the optical port was now missing.  This was reported to customer service and after multiple calls we were told that because the optical port was not associated with the original issue and that their technicians had reported there was no problem with the TV they were denying our claim to correct the problem.  We now have a TV, purchased through COSTCO with the surround sound equipment, that we cannot use the surround sound with.  We will not be purchaing another VISIO TV, ever.
