I agreed to receive flight training from Simuflite in Dallas Texas for the citation III jet. The cost of the training was $12,500. However, Vision Air in Las Vegas had asked me to fly their citation III when I completed the training in Dallas. Vision Air asked me for my credit card, claiming that this was the only way Simuflite would allow the training to take place.

However this is not true at all as I found out later. Vision Air decided they would run my credit card for $19,500, without my authorization. The cost of the training was only $12,500. I have filed a complaint with the credit card company. The credit card company has had a difficult time receiving cooperation with Vision Air.

Vision Air currently has an unsatisfactory status with the better business bureau of Nevada, with 4 complaints against them.

"Fred Flintstone" and BBB complaints

#6UPDATE Employee

Mon, March 02, 2009

Fred: Allow me to explain how BBB complaints happen and maybe then you will have a full understanding of how good companies across this nation get bad ratings by this joke of an entity.

Vision and it's companies send millions of people to the Grand Canyon anually. Although the vast majority of people are satisfied and enjoy their tour, there is always a person or two who may find reason to complain. This is normal for all businesses. Some of the complaints are legitimate and we do our best to resolve those immediately to ensure customer satisfaction. However, some complaints are completely baseless and/or ridiculous, and no matter how hard we try, they cannot be resolved because ultimately the consumer wants something for nothing.

Case in point, a customer filed a complaint against us because she claimed she did not get enough food to eat during her tour and free lunch. Lunches are provided for most of our tours and include a sandwich of your choice, chips, cookie, piece of fruit and drink. This particular consumer wanted a full refund of her airfare, not just for herself, but for her companions as well. We responded to her complaint in a timely manner and apologized for her lack of food...no resolution was reached as she was insistant that she and her party receive a FULL refund! Her complaint can be reviewed on the BBB website. Hers, and many like hers don't even deserve a response, yet the BBB keeps them on file and open to public access which hurts our rating. Any reasonable person would tend to agree that complaints like this should be sent back to the issuer with a note not to EVER send a complaint again.

Yes, as I said, there are reasonable and legitimate complaints. If you look at our file, you will see those have been satisfied to the consumers' standard. Also included on the BBB website are complaints that no company could possibly resolve without harm to itself. Such is the case of "Dave" who filed with every possible entity he could. He contracted the company to provide pilot training and although he failed the training was legally obligated to pay. He couldn't pass his requirements and got mad at us for actually charging him for his training. He has been bitter ever since and although a court decided on our behalf, ironically he still cannot get a job as a pilot and continues to harrass us and attempt to publically embarrass us. Our legal department is currently looking into his continued abuse.

The BBB is unfair to businesses in that it doesn't fully disclose information on complaints and often gives poor ratings to huge companys that have a relatively small percentage of complaints versus satisfied customers. Our current ratio is less than one percent and yet our rating is "POOR" with the BBB. We have answered each complaint and have several without satisfaction as they are attempts to extort money or services from us. Yet the BBB allows these complaints to become part of our permanent file. I certainly wouldn't put to much consideration into what the BBB has a rating for any company given this information.

So there you have it "Fred". In a nutshell, don't rush to judgement, you just might find yourself on the wrong side of the fence. Also, what is it with people and hiding their identity? If you have something to say, put a face on it and stop using "anonymous" and fake names. Have some honor and balls people!!!!

Second-rate pilot needs to move on

David:
Isn't time to move on with your life? Why do you continue to file these stupid blogs when you know we sued and won?!! The law is clear and was on our side. This incident was years ago! Good God man, give it up and move on! This is a non-issue and your continued efforts to trash us will only be met with further legal action. Are you prepared for that? Shut your mouth and stop harassing the company and people in it.

Incidentally, we never "asked" you to fly for us. It was a class you twit! Which you elected to take and pay for!!!!! What's more, you give the impression that you actually were a good pilot who was sought out by us. Get out of the fantasy and go back to reality. Get a job you are good at, (being a pilot isn't it...) and get on with your life. Stop wasting precious time and get over it!

Employee was contracted pilot who proved to be unsafe

#6UPDATE Employee

Fri, January 12, 2007

The comments left by this individual are completely false and done only as an attempt to discredit a company with an excellent standing with the FAA, DOT and NTSB. (We do not have lawsuits against us for credit card fraud and in fact process millions of dollars each year in credit charges. This company employs over 300 people and has millions in assets). This individual signed a contract, received training and quite simply couldn't cut it. He was and is dangerous and should NEVER fly any aircraft (including remote controlled)!

Vision Air and it's entities sued this flake and won. He is simply a disgruntled ex-employee who cannot accept that his skill level is not worthy of any pilot license. His idea is that because he couldn't qualify as a pilot he thinks we should refund his money. Yeah, that's exactly how Harvard does it too..when you can't pass your bar exam, they refund your entire college costs...what an idiot!

As for the comments left by the second individual, I beleive those too have been addressed. As for training costs...what would you have us do genius...should we offer our training for free? Think before you speak Einstein...people are in business to make money not to provide services and training for free! Duh! What freaking moron!

Vision rips off it's Pilots

#6UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, December 16, 2004

Vision Air is well known in the aviation industry for selling Simuflite type ratings at higher prices to make a profit off it's employees. The $7,000 difference in your report is money that Vision Air put in it's pockit as profit. THere have been many lawsuites against Vision and they are currently under investigation by the FAA for unsafe use of their aircraft.
