Vitalawn Care Inc./David Kralik Vitalawn -- overcharged and underserviced Mississauga, Ontario Canada
I hired Vitalawn in the spring of 2011 for basic lawn services. I agreed to pay $180/month for this effort.
Throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons, the reliability of the service and the workmanship (when the teenagers did show up) was abysmal. Once, I was home when the teens appeared. I timed their work. They were here and gone in 3 minutes. I received calls from my neighbours about issues related to grass trimmings, haphazard mowing and severe leaf pile-ups.
In the middle of the summer, I called to report a consistent stream of 'no-shows' to the business owner - David Kralik. Though there was no service, I was consistently billed like clockwork (David Kralik has that function mastered). In the end, I was forced to hire a reputable service to get the work done and stay on good terms with the neighbours.
David Kralik is now trying to bill me for November (the contract for what turned out to be 'non-services' ran from June to Oct). In keeping with the program, no one showed up in November. Not sure what they would have done anyway if they had showed up -- the ground is frozen.
I am seeking some kind of financial re-imbursement from this company. David Kralik does not return calls or e-mail. Still, I am trying. This is wrong on so many levels. Other descriptors come to mind as well - unethical, fraudulent, misleading and deceptive.
