I dont no why a 15 year old reckless driving charge on my USIS report should shoot me down for employment. I have many years driving and and have a PERFECT DAC REPORT. I hold a class a cdl, hazmat, tankers, doubles and triples with NO accidents or tickets. Im 40 years old and this incident happened 15 years ago when I got caught street racing my mustang in a industrial area with NO traffic. I payed my fine---This ticket has no reason to follow me into my trucking career. Canadian company---go figure. Oh by the way I have no felonies and passed a TSA backround check for my hazmat 2 months ago. This is BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You cant keep or apply for a Hazmat endorsement without going through TSA---your felony must be real old and non violent. They just dont hand them out any more after 9/11--you must have a FBI background check including fingerprints. Never had a felony so that does not apply to me.

Do you actually think my truck driving career should be ruined for a 15 year old traffic violation??????? Well if so---you need to get out of that truck stop and stop complaining why you dont get any miles.

So because there was NO traffic it was okay?  Because it was in an industrial area it was okay?  Oh no it wasn't because you got caught.

TSA has nothing to do with driving skill, Felonies(unless it involves driving) have nothing to do with driving skills.  But getting a ticket for reckless driving(street racing) does..imagine that.

Perhaps if this is the only blackmark on your record you may want to see if you can get the record "exspunged".  It may cost you a couple hundred dollars, but it would not be out of the question for a reckless driving charge to continue to cause a problem for a truck driver.
