Complaint Review: Vivint

Vivint Smarthome Would not repair alarm system or cancel account and took money from my account without authorization Provo Utah

I got a Vivint system a year ago. I got the sensors , thermostat and automatic deadbolt and it was almost 3000 dollars, what a fool I was. The sensors are way too sensitive and the police have been to and inside my home 6 times at this point. The thermostat has gone haywire around 4 months ago and I've emailed, chatted and called trying to cancel my account to no avail. I asked for a tech to come out, no response. I tried to get online and cancel the account and even went online to my bank account and still couldn't stop them from taking money from my account.

I finally went to my bank and found that they were able to use an old debit card that had been canceled 6 months ago. This was not set up as an ACH and even my bank doesn't know how they did this. I changed my debit card twice since I had this account opened so beware, it seems that some companies can get around you changing your debit card. Evidently, this also means that my bank is at fault for letting them get money from my account from an old cancelled debit card.
