Complaint Review: Vogue UK

I have also been a victim of BRITISH VOGUE's advertising scam after recieving a carbon copy email from them that stated:

"Hi there! I hope this finds you well. My name is Amelia and I am delighted to introduce myself as your contact at British Vogue. I wanted to get in touch as I came across your companyonline and I think your brand would be perfect to showcase on an upcoming interiors special page I am creating for British Vogue.   I am currently putting together our exciting interiors advertorial page ‘Vogue’s Show Home’ in the October issue with a campaign running across November and December. I really enjoyed browsing your website and feel that you would make a really unique addition to the page and appeal greatly to Vogue’s affluent readership. ‘Vogue’s Show Home’ is the only page in British Vogue dedicated to interiors and will feature a varied range of premium interiors companies to provide our 1.3 million readers with exclusive inspiration across all aspects of Vogue’s dream home. All written in our house style to read as a recommendation from us which you can use on your website and social media. Should the opportunity be of interest, our rates for our most popular size start from as little as £395+VAT per issue, which includes a photo and a 50 word biography written in the third person, continuing over a 3 month campaign including the October, November & December editions. These are the key issues in 2017 and are regarded as unmissable sources of Autumn/Winter inspiration, especially in the run up to Christmas by our readers, and will be some of the first issues our new editor-in-chief Edward Enniful will be working on so it couldn’t be a better time to showcase your brand.  I would love to get in contact to discuss the page in further detail, and the alternative pricing and sizing options that I can offer, as we can accommodate almost any requirements. The artwork featured can be chosen by you, perhaps to showcase a bestseller or new launch. Vogue also offers a compI limentary copy writing service, and I would be delighted to create something on your behalf! Images and text can be updated for each separate issue.  Please find below an example page, so that you may better visualise the advertorial layout and alternative sizing options.   Space on the page is reserved on a first come first serve basis, so do let me know as soon as possible if you would like to feature. All I would need is your postal address, business telephone number and we can discuss sizing options. You would not be required to pay anything upfront, each issue is invoiced separately shortly after the on sale date, following which you have a period of 30 days to pay. The October issue will be on sale on 8th September, so the first payment would not be made until October. Our artwork deadline for the edition is 9th August. As aforementioned, if featured we can offer you scanned PDF’s of the page, logo and front cover to use on your websites and social media for branding purposes. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing the campaign. Kind Regards"   At the time, I thought that I had been specially selected to feature in this page and I was excited about it. As a very new, small, independant business, I thought this might be the promising 'push' I needed to get my work seen and gain exposure.

I was a little taken aback by the cost of the advertising, there was no way realsitically I'd be able to afford X3 £395 (with VAT it was £474 PER issue) so I asked if there was any deals, or if there was a chance I could advertise in just one issue to which the response was :
