Volkswagen of Union VW has not paid off my trade in! Union New Jersey
I purchased a VW Atlas and traded in my Ford Explorer on November 17, 2017. I was told that the Ford would be paid off within 30 days. As of today, January 19, 2018, they still have not paid off my car. I had to make two extra car payments and incurred a late fee. I am now nearing my third payment for a car I no longer have in my possession.
I have called the dealership numerous times and have had no responses. I was given multiple voicemails and told to leave a message. I received a call back five days later only to be told that the accounting department was closed and that they didn't have any answers for me.
I then called cooperate and they really haven't done much to help. They have just taken my complaint. VW refuses to get back to me and will not give me a payoff date.
I then had Ford Credit call the VW dealership last night and spoke with Carlos Inoa. He promised me that I would have an answer by 12:00 today. They still have not called me back. I called again today and was just given a voicemail. It is now 7:00pm and still no response.
No one is helping me with my situation and I'm extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with how this situation is being handled. All I want is for the car that I traded in to be paid off like the contract says. The management is deceitful and unfair. I had to make extra car payments through the holidays. In addition, I spoke to a VW of Union rep who stated that they are getting numerous complaints about the same issue. Bottom line is once you purchase a vehicle there, management wants nothing to do with you.

The dealership changed hands and thanks to Ron Weiss (the general manager) my problems have been resolved. He was a pleasure to work with. One phone call was all it took. He resolved my many months of stress and frustration with one phone call. He was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again Ron!!
