I had an electric bicycle built custom by Voltage Cycles. It arrived with a faulty clutch. Marty assured me he was surprised, he had never had problems before, and instructed me to contact his tech support. At my expense, I shipped the motor and parts to California.

I was told by his tech support that it was a common problem, the clutch in this motor was a recall, and that the tire was improperly laced and would need to be redone, even though this was how it was sent to me by Voltage Cycles. At my expense the work was done and parts were shipped back to NY.

Opon reassembling the bike, it still did not run right. I had to ship the parts back and forth 3x before Ilia finally agreed to replace the motor entirely, he also recommended I replace the controller with the new controllers Marty was going to start putting on his bikes. All at my expense, this was done. The bike STILL did not meet the performance promised by Voltage Cycles.

I contacted Marty, who claimed because all the work I had had done, it was no longer his setup and told me the controller was the issue why the bike was not performing correctly, even though HIS tech support instructed me to make the replacements.

I then had to purchase a new battery charger as the one that came with the bike stopped working. The one Marty sold me also did not work correctly. I tried to contact Marty but he informed me he was too busy to help me at this time. Frustrated, I wrote to his investors and business partners trying to get something done. I received no response except for a text message from Marty "what the f*ck" He then went on to tell me the battery charger was not faulty, refused to replace it or honor the warrantee, refused to send the correct controller, and said because I wrote to his investors, he would no longer do business with me. I have now spent over $4500 and still do not have the product his company claims to sell.
