Volvo Cars Of North America Multiple transmission failures, defective xc90 SUV. Rockleigh New Jersey
I bough a 2004 Volvo XC90 T6 and at 60,000 miles the transmission failed. Needed to be replaced to the tune if $5500, not under warranty. Had it replaced and the new one started to fail almost immediately. Brought the car back in, fixed again. Drove about 50 miles and am having the same transmission failure.
After doing a Google search for "volvo xc90 transmission" I discovered that this is a MAJOR problem with EVERY one of these 03-04 models. Volvo could care less and is not willing to correct the problem. This is a major safety issue and a recall is needed. Someone needs to start a class action suit and hold this company resposible for their faulty, unsafe product.
