If any company rips you off you should get your money back. Also, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission; they will move against a company once they receive a certain number of complaints.

I type up a detailed complaint, get the complaint forms from all of the above off the internet and write "SEE ATTACHED" in the area for describing the rip off. Then I mail them, or email them if possible.

If I don't hear something in a reasonable time I call to inquire where things stand.

You can sue them in small claims court. Call your Secretary of State for their Agent for Process. I guarantee you will get your money back because it is cheaper for Vonage to return your money than to hire an attorney for court. Some states do not even permit attorneys in small claims court. Tell the judge that Vonage breached the contract by not giving you the service they advertised and what you are going through, etc. If you have a law in your state preventing Deceptive Trade Practices and you prove that Vonage falsley advertised - YOU ARE ENTITLED TO TRIPLE DAMAGES - MAKE SURE YOU ASK THE JUDGE TO AWARD THIS TO YOU. Look up your state's small claims court and rules on the internet.

DON'T GET RIPPED OFF, GET SMART. Best of luck to all.
