The service worked great while I had it. Unfortunately the equipment was broken over a year ago (in transit during a deployment, not Vonage's fault). Since then, I've just used them to forward my calls since I lived and worked in Idaho but had a Colorado cell phone number. I intended to buy more equipment from them when I needed it.
I moved back to Colorado, and am living with people who already have a phone service, so I temporarily don't need Vonage. I called to cancel my account on July 5th, 2009. My plans were to go back to Vonage when I get my own place in 1-2 years.

Vonage stopped sending my account notifications, but continues to quietly charge my credit card account. They've charged nearly $200 without my permission. They've looked at my account and can see that I havn't been using it, but they've deleted any record of me calling except for once in the past year.

I called several days ago to cancel (a second time). The person I talked to today refused to refund me because she had no record of my call back in July, but she had no record of my call just a couple days ago either. She called me to respond to a call she had no record of?

She told me my account is cancelled (even though this time she has no record of me requesting it either), and I won't be charged anymore. I don't trust her at all though, I've already notified my credit card company to accept no further charges from them.
