VONAGE VOIP PHONE SERVICE Continuing to charge, not cancelling service as requested 4 times Holm Del New Jersey
Six weeks ago,had problems with service.Constant calls and emails to Vonage,still no resolution,until last week,when they told me to either buy new adaptor,or have them send me another at full charge,plus shipping.I could not access the internet,while phone was attached, and could not use phone and computer at the same time.
All their tech support told me was that i was not transmitting an i.p. address and i should change my cables,which i did.Every time i complained,i got the same automated email,saying,contact tech support or customer service.
I told them to cancel service at the end of the billing cycle,which was 10/12/2006.I even put a stop payment on the credit card.But on the evening of the 15th,they took payment out again.
Incidentally,when you contacy tech support,it's usually someone that cannot talk english,or understand it,either.I can only pressume,they are in India,or Asia,because they won't tell you.
If you're thinking of Vonage,i would urge you to reconsider and read other complaints on this site and other sites on the net.There are respectable companies that offer good deals.
