Beware, Vonda will make you believe she understands your concerns and will agree to an appointment, when actually she plans on making you wait until SHE is ready.
My daughter did extensive research on extensions, and asked me to give her extensions for her Christmas gift. We reviewed the options and Salon Innovations by Si had a great web page and even said they were in good standings with the Better Business Bureau.
My daughter had a modeling event and finals at her college, so it was imperative to have the service done immediately. She contacted Vonda and asked about the time frame to apply the extensions. The call was on speaker and I heard Vonda giving my daughter the reassurance that she could do it same day or at the latest next day. Based on price and time frame, Salon Innovations seemed to be the one offering the better customer service.
WRONG! We scheduled the appt. and spoke with Vonda about our circumstances, she was agreeable with our time frame.
I paid the price of $250.00 cash and she handed my daughter a form to sign saying that this was to confirm the appt. As she handed her a form, she placed her attention on me and my other daughter and spoke about placing baking soda and water on our hair to rid the hair of chemical base build-up on hair. Looking back, it was a diversion. We never received a copy from her and never received a receipt of cash deposit. Yeah and shame on me, the "Mom", my previous experience on salon treatments was never take your money and run!
The next morning of the appointment to apply the extensions, Vonda called and cancelled our appointment and said her "back went out". I asked if anyone else could apply the hair, she said "no", but she would throw in a free haircut. I reminded her of my daughters modeling engagement and she said "sorry, I don't know when I could do it, since its Sunday and my Chiropractor is not in the office". I said, well then I will need a refund so my daughter can get the extensions elsewhere. Vonda said, "no refunds". I said that is absurd, she said, we could have the hair she purchased, but no cash refunds. First, I don't think for one second she even purchased the hair, based on her lack of communication to resolve this matter. I said, no I want the cash and she refused. I reiterated that this situation was her fault and SHE did not fulfill the agreement based on her medical condition.
My daughter and I have made several attempts via phone and email to resolve this matter, and Vonda never acknowledges us. I believe she thinks she can get away with consumer fraud. I can only say to someone looking for a service from Salon Innovations is to look else where for a reputable salon/stylist.
I have credible evidence and facts in this situation and will use it to prevent anyone else from this inexcusable behavior from Vonda.
And Vonda, if your reading this, it would be in your best interest to resolve this matter with us immediately by email or through this site. Also, you may want to take off on your website "Good Standings with the Better Business Bureau" you have been rated an "F" and that is false advertising!!
