VRBO.com VRBO does not support renters who have been lied to about the listings or remove "retaliation" reviews. You have to do everything through the host, which is useless when they have already lied and cheated you out of money. They will not make the host change their listing.
We were told the house we were renting for a large amount of money had air conditioning. It had one small portable air conditioner (that we couldn't move) in one bedroom of a 2800 sq ft house. I complained to the host within an hour and they only said, "sorry."
I complained to the company but because I had contacted the host, they didn't follow up. I asked for a partial refund and the host stopped responding to me. Then I get a 4 out of 5 review for communication, which is not true. I asked VRBO to remove it and they said they can't.
I have to ask the host, which is ridiculous since it is the host who is lying. The host basically gets no repercussions and we are out $3500 with no support from VRBO. Avoid this company!!
