I bought a phone from BestBuy about 1 year ago, it was a Vtech 2.4GHz Gigaphone with an answering machine base. After 1 year of using the phone under normal operating conditions, the base starting clicking (a small beep) every 2 seconds. I called Vtech support and waited on hold for over an hour, 3 times! I sent an email to their support center, and they told me that I had to send the phone to them for repair, and if it was older than 90 days since the purchase date I had to send them a check for $78 to repair it.

The original price was $100 from best buy, and it was past warrenty, but I still feel ripped off. This was the first product I bought from this company, and it will be the last, I can't believe that they won't repair the phone for free. If I sent it back and paid the 78 bucks to repair it and the 20 bucks to ship it, I might as well buy another one. Which I will, but it WILL NOT be from this company. I just can't believe a company cares so little about their customers, I have sent an email back to them letting them know they have lost a customer, which I know means nothing to them, but at least I got it off my chest.
