VW Credit Volkswagen Auto Financing, Volkswagen Credit, Volkswagen USA Fraud, Deception, Falsifying Signatures, and Illegal Credit Reporting Nationwide, Nationwide
After initiating purchase of a 2010 Volkswagen Routan on January 4th, 2011, the car was literally a lemon. I brought it in 4 times for repair on the same issues, after shady business practices from the dealership Desert VW in Las Vegas, NV and false promises, I decided to return this vehicle VOLUNTARILY. After doing a credit pull I noticed that VW Credit put that I owe $15,000 from the auction where they sold the car, and placed a voluntary repossession on my credit file. In accordance with my rights under the FCRA and FTC I filed suit against VW Credit/Volkswagen corporate to pursue proof of debt owed.
After long delay, and computer generated response they finally sent a "copy" of the signed contract. As I look closer at this "signed" contract it was back dated to 12/31/2010 so the dealership could qualify for a $10,000 rebate, which I was not paid for. To make things worse, VW Credit was aware of this since the finance manager signed the contract "1/4/2010" which would have been a year before I supposedly purchased the car. It turns out the contract which was finalized and financed was forged, it is not my signature AND it is back dated. What kind of fraud is VW committing against you?

P.S. This is to Anthony: You can also get your story to the Investigative Reporters at all of your Local News stations in your city. Email them, call them by phone, and send copies of the "forged" contracts in the mail. Maybe one of them will put your story on T.V. and a lawyer might see it, right? Any smart lawyer would most likely take your case on a 'contingency fee basis' which wouldn't cost you a dime, wouldn't you agree?

You have several issues going on.
First on the Lemon, if you are trying to return the car under a States "Lemon Law" you generally can't just turn the car in and forget about it. You may have to go through several "hoops". This may include sending them a formal notice, or going to a Mediation/Arbitration hearing. If you don't go through the "hoops" when you turned in the car instead of a Lemon it turned into a Voluntary Repossession and you would be responsible for that.
But that may all be a mute point depending on the Contract. Forgetting about the dates, if they forged your signature on a contract you may not only have grounds to go after them in Civil Court but through the Criminal courts as well. For 15K it probably is worth at least consulting an Attorney instead of trying to tackle this on your own.

I can tell you that even if you voluntarily return a vehicle it will be considered a repossession.
Once sold at the auction you could be responsible for the difference between the amount the car sold for and the loan amount.
Howerver a forged contract is another issue and with a $15,000 judgment I know I would seek legal advice before you end up getting garnished for it.

Tanya's Ripoff Report regarding the forged signature on her contract from the Nissan dealership. (Ripoff Report #505850.)
Then type in 331575 at this site and read Carol's Ripoff Report, where she stated that her signature was forged by someone at the Toyota dealership. (Ripoff Report #331575.)
Then 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, and watch that video on the web.
You might want to file a complaint with your Attorney General, and also contact a lawyer to see if you can sue for damages. If you have proof of a "forged" signature on a legal document, which was apparently "back dated", it should be an easy case for you to win, wouldn't you agree?
