I started banking with Wachovia in August of 2005. Over a few months as I added more money to the account. I could not keep money in my account.

I contacted Wachovia several times and they can never give a positive answer. They can never explain what's going on.

A few times within the last three months Wachovia have been withdrawing and holding my funds for items. A few days pass and Wachovia would charge again for the same items and tact on a $35 fee.

When I call to ask them I get treated like dog poo and receive attitudes without answers. How can a bank pay for a check if the funds are not there?

Last week Wachovia paid for a check from my account. The came to the bank on Wednesday after 2pm. The check was for over $500.00 and I only had $84.00 in the account.

I am dealing with the consumer about that check, because the consumer was not suppose to deposit that check.

Now, focused on Wachovia. I can do the math and have realized the check should not have been paid at all, but instead returned NSF.

Wachovia even paid a consumer on the first of March and reduced my available balance. Two days later they charged me again for the item and charged a NSF fee.

When I called them they said, "We do not hold checks or purposly put checks above smaller items to cause fees. We look at each check and we think it would be best if we pay your check for rent or utilities. It's for your best interest."

"If a check come through and the funds are not there, yes we send it back and charge you a NSF fee instead of returning an electronic item."

"We can not see the time a check come through. We can only see debits and ATM. We do not use our ATM's another company monitor."

"We do not automatically take an item off your available balance. It is done twenty-four hours later."

In other words, the available balance is $325.00. A debit come through for $25.00. They hold the $25.00, but do not charge you. Why should you withhold my money and not pay?

The available will show $300.00. A check came through for $220.00 and Wachovia paid it, but the didnot remove it from the available.

You account should say $80.00, but instead it say $300.00. This will ALWAYS make us over spend the account, because basically THEY ARE HOLDING CHECKS FOR THEIR BENEFIT.

I have watched Wachovia for months and this is what they do. I honestly feel with a class action lawsuit they will be forced to change their operation.

How can big companies profit off little people? I do not care what the negative people have to say, because if you day has not come. IT WILL AND REAL SOON.

AT THAT POINT DON'T RUN OR COMMIT A CRIMETO YOURSELF FROM THE STRESS. IF IT DON'T HAPPEN TO YOU. YOU WILL HAVE A CHILD OR NIECE OR NEPHEW OR PARENT OR GRANDPARENT.

DON'T JUDGE - UNLESS YOU BE JUDGE. DON'T ASSUME SOMEONE ELSE PAIN UNLESS YOU WANT PAIN AND STRESS.

Stop writing checks when you don't have the money.

On Wachovia's online banking... click your account.. then click the "holds" link towards the top. That is for stuff you bought in the last day or two, that has not yet been subtracted from your available balance. That means if your balance shows $300, but you have $200 in holds, you really only have another $100 to spend.

Which brings us back to rule #1, dont write another check or buy another item for more than $100..

It's pretty simple, really.
