Wachovia Wachovia Scams $175 in OverDraft fees for one transaction Charlotte North Carolina
I had deposited $80 in the bank I made two purchases at Wendy and McDonald's and spent 12$, the next day I spent $30 at the movies. After going to the movies I went to Walmart where they rang up some of my items twice, I went to get the item credited back but it took a whole day. The balance charged was $52, when i looked at my account on Saturday the balance was -14 dollars. I transfered $3 to my account and then had a balance of $-9. To correct this before waiting for WalMart to return the funds I tried to make an ATM deposit of $10 my pin wouldn't work and when i called Wachovia they said they had no record of my pin number so i waited until Monday to go and deposit the funds. When i got there i had a new balance of -185.00. Wachovia says that the processed the walmart purchase first and then processed the purchases at Wendy's mcdonalds and the two purchases at the movies the night before. I think this is complete crap because walmart was the only purchase i didn't have funds for, obviously the bank is trying to make money off of me a kid in college whose trying to get his financial future together.
When i called they gave me a courtesy credit of $35, thanks a lot now I only owe 150 dollars. To some it may seem a big deal but my mom deposited my food money 80 before contacting me so now i am left with -150 dollars to eat on for the next two weeks.
Thank you so much Wachovia, I will be closing the account when i can pay the difference and will strongly discourage anyone from banking with such a lousy bank. I have read other stories and hopefully we can band together to get these big banks from taking money out of the pockets of the little guys!
