I went to an ATM to make a cash deposit "WITHOUT AN ENVELOPE". The ONLY way they let you do it now. After scanning my money for 5 minutes, it decides to say "Can not process you transaction" And then spits my card back out and keeps the cash. When I call customer service and the dispute department, they tell me it'll be up to 7 days before it'll be cleared up.

In the meantime, they won't do a temporary credit to my account so things don't bounce on me. And then if there are any overdrafts fees, they will refund them. Which we all know will take another business day. And all they can tell me is...It's their policy.

I think Wachovia/Wells fargo is getting too big for themselves and they don't care about the customers. I know from their bank management that this is an ongoing problem at their ATM's. And yet they won't take care of their customers while they fix the bugs in THEIR system. I know it's time to go to another bank and that's what I'll be doing.

I would suggest that everyone does the same thing. There are much better places out there to help you with your money

They (wackoffonya) tried to pull the same crap on me. What happened was I went to an ATM to withdraw a portion of my rent money. The ATM told me the same thing that it can not process the transaction..but they still took the funds from my account.

The problem was I could not afford at the time to have these funds (as well as any overdraft fees) tied up while "they" were going to investigate.

I called and called and called until they gave me a provision. They did pull the provision once during the interim and i called and called and called them again.

In my case it ended up taking a little over 30 days for them top conclude their investigation, which was ruled in my favor..but either way I was not going to allow their mess up to dominate my life. Call them up and do not give them a choice. What you must realize is anyone you speak to has the power and authority to put the funds back on a provisional basis..but for some reason they are encouraged not to. The trick is to let them know you will not accept ANYTHING but the funds put back on a provisional basis NOW!!!

Of course if you easily give up and fold it is no skin off their back..so the idea is NOT to fold..but DEMAND.

Thanks bud. I tried to do that. Spoke to managers and everything and all they say is "It's not our policy to do temporary credits on ATM deposits. But it takes about 7 days to get this cleared up and then we can refund any overdraft fees after we find in your favor." This happened Thursday evening. I don't get paid til this Friday. So basically they tell me I'm screwed.

...Call their customer service over and over until you get an agent who will put the funds back on a provisional basis. Once the investigation is concluded in your favor they will lift the provision and everything should go back to normal.

If they do not conclude in your favor let us know..it may be time WE investigate THEM.
